Heartz N Motion Compassion N Action is a local Oklahoma City nonprofit here to support people experiencing homelessness. We meet you right where you are with compassion, prayer, encouragement, hot meals every other week, and practical help. Our goal is to connect our unhoused neighbors with the resources they need while praying for their safety, strength, and well-being.
We’d love to welcome donations, volunteers, community partners, and organizations that want to make a real difference. Together, we can provide care, build meaningful connections, and put compassion into action for individuals and families in need.

Heartz N Motion-Compassion N Action is a mobile outreach. We don't wait for the unhoused to find us---we take compassion directly to the unhoused. Offering Hot meals, Prayers, Encouraging conversation, Restoring hope, Vital Resources, and Support systems to help them exit homelessness. It takes a Village to serve our community. We welcome volunteers.
HEARTZ N MOTION-COMPASSION N ACTION: On this day, it was hot and even though I didn't have food to give, I still drove nearby in the city handing out cold water to our unhoused neighbors. HEARTZ-N-MOTION will still show up for the unhoused, even on the hardest days. We cannot do this alone. We need volunteers, partner organizations, and donations to continue moving forward.

My Story & Mission
​Heartz-N-Motion Compassion in Action was born from personal triumph over adversity. After losing both of my parents a year apart, I moved from Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Texas to rebuild. My family then faced severe hardship after I survived domestic violence and was shot multiple times in front of my children following a breakup. Without shelter, a car, or even a shower, we washed up in convenience store bathrooms. Because my son was 16, Domestic Violence Shelter guidelines prevented us from staying together—a devastating reality that forced us to experience homelessness firsthand.
​Five years ago, my late son Demario and I founded Heartz-N-Motion Compassion in Action, driven by our understanding of the hardships unhoused individuals and families face. After Demario transitioned to Heaven in Texas, I moved to Oklahoma City to grieve away from those memories. But now I'm back!! I am committed to becoming the support system we once needed: providing hot meals, essential supplies, compassion, hope, prayer, and information about resources that help house the unhoused.
​Today, the need often exceeds our resources. It is heartbreaking to distribute hot meals while knowing demand outweighs what we can provide. I drive to find those who are not near soup kitchens, and we need community support to ensure no one is turned away.

​Thank you for standing with Heartz-N-Motion and showing compassion through action. Under Oklahoma law, homelessness is illegal after small-town shelters have closed, leaving only Oklahoma City and Tulsa shelters open. Many people are one paycheck away from homelessness. We have to start loving our neighbors as ourselves, people.

How we serve our community
Through our community outreach programs in OKC, we work to deliver essential resources, fresh meals, and compassionate support directly to those who need it most. With your help, I believe in the near future we will have the resources to direct relief and public outreach services designed to humanize the unhoused population and own a building to housed the unhoused program but until then, let's continue building relationships , and praying for help to help provide the unhoused to path-clearing resources to help them off the streets.

About Heartz N Motion~Compassion N Action
My name is Twyla M. Cato, founder and sole owner of Heartz N Motion~Compassion N Action. What began as a personal calling that started in Texas and continued my God given purpose here in Okc. The name of my nonprofit organization speaks for itself as I drive around Oklahoma City and surrounding areas feeding, building relationships, and praying over the unhoused has grown into a mission to bridge the gap between people in need and life-changing resources. We exist to show the world that homeless people deserve dignity, care, and a real chance to rebuild their lives. I need help expanding the help needed out here for the unhoused. It is now illegal to be homeless but the state has closed down so many homeless shelters leaving only Tulsa Oklahoma and Oklahoma City Oklahoma doors open. The homeless population is growing and I need your help! Together, we can make it happen. Be the change that you hope to see.
We all have a story to tell, mine lead me to leave an impact on those that has giving up not seeing a way as I let them know that Jesus is the only way telling my testimony. I'm caring for 5 of my grandsons ages 12, 11, 8, and 3 years old twins and lets not forget my dog Gracie and some how God still gives me the strength to serve my purpose. The unhoused are the highlight of my day. When they give their thanks to me, I give it right back. Makes me feel so good

I asked if I could give her something and she turned without answering me and asked was I hungry so I repeated myself, walked up to her car and gave her a hundred dollar bill.

Compassion, Love, and Generosity for Our Unhoused Neighbors
Compassion, love, help, and generosity are qualities we all have the ability to share, often in ways we may not even realize. Our unhoused neighbors face challenges that can include limited access to shelter, food, health care, transportation, and safe places to rest. A kind conversation, a meal, warm clothing, hygiene supplies, or support for trusted local organizations can make a meaningful difference. It is important to treat every person with respect, dignity, and understanding, recognizing that homelessness can affect people for many reasons, including job loss, rising housing costs, illness, family hardship, and unexpected emergencies.
